A Study on Activity of Guanine Deaminas in human Serum

Abstract
Serum guanase activity was measured in 51 cases of the health ian, 23 cases of acute viral or homologous surum hepatitis, 16 cases of obstructive jaundi aces of hepatic cirrhosis, and 4 cases of hepatoma. The result was following.
1. Mean level of serum guanase activity in normal healthy Korez vas 1.43^¢¥1.21 U. /L.
2. In acute viral or homologous serum hepatitis, serum GDA act y increased about 16 folds than the value of the normal control. But there was slight increase in obstructive jaundice, cirrhosis of the liver and hapatoma. So serum GDA activity could be used for differential diagnosis of surgical jaundice from medical jaundice.
3. Serum GDA activity increased earlier and more rapidly in the )curse of hepatitis, so it could be substituted for SGPT and TTT for earlier detection of live cell damage.
4. Serum GDA activity could be used ¡®to detection of liver cell damage, because its level increased ?according to liver cell damage iii the operative cases of obstructive jaundice.
